Cinnamon Fern
A tall, elegant fern of wetlands and moist woods, Cinnamon Fern grows in graceful clumps with fronds that can reach 3 to 5 feet high. In spring, its fertile fronds rise in the center as upright, cinnamon-brown spikes, giving the plant its name. Around them, the broad green fronds spread outward in a vase-like shape, adding lush texture to shady swamps and streambanks. This ancient fern has thrived for millions of years, providing both beauty and habitat in damp forest ecosystems.
