A familiar and cheerful wildflower, Daisy Fleabane dots sunny fields, roadsides, and meadows all summer long. It produces a profusion of small, daisy-like blossoms, each with a bright yellow button center surrounded by a fringe of numerous, thread-like white-to-pale-lavender petals.

Its name comes from the old, mistaken belief that the dried plant could repel fleas. Despite this folklore, it is a hardworking native, providing a vital source of nectar for countless small bees, wasps, and other beneficial insects.
